About Us

The Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam is an enormous department catering more than 86% of Assam’s population, with more than 10 major schemes. A huge amount of data is both generated and used by the department at multiple levels. Data is distributed in different platforms, like different MIS, papers and files, and other digital platforms at multiple locations. Absence of a high-tech data joining mechanism make it difficult to derive at decisions based on data. The primary objective of the proposed "Monitoring and Data Analytics System" is to have all necessary data in one platform, so that decisions are driven by data, and the primary purpose of “Monitoring and Data Analytics Cell” is to ensure rapid gathering and analysis of data.

The vision of the project is to utilise ICT and all other modern technology and methods for rapid gathering and analysis of all relevant data to arrive at informed decisions and choices and deliver a robust system in which all data is fed or collected in digital platforms, where transparency and objectivity are the prime objectives, and outcomes are based only on data, in minimum turnaround time, minimum physical interaction and minimum human intervention.
